"What Tony Oros is to Egodog, Ron Tugnutt is to Columbus"

Fan Mails (that most invaluable fuel):
DUDE!! Chris here, I'm writing you from Camp Bondsteel me and my freind Rodney saw you guys last night and you brought the pain!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rodney (not really a rocker) can't fucking shut up about EGODOG. I might have to shoot his ass. I have seen just about everyone live, you guys kicked half the bands asses I have seen and you did it in a tin building in Yugoslavia. That's just cool. Most famous bands sound like shit live even with the best equipment i.e. Blink 182. You guys are gonna be even more famous than you already are. I think what you are doing for the army is unbelievable. Rock bands are usually liberal fucks who think we are baby killers and big business republicans. How did you get this way, were you dragged from a burning building by a soldier or some shit?  I play guitar and I would like some of your TAB, is it on the net? I would like to play your shit. Your music's hard but still keeps the melody and tone not as to over harden as so many people do now days; great lyrics too.  Any way enough praise I don't want to sound like a bitch.  Please add these two e-mail addresses to your mailing list; we will be in LA for x-mas and Vegas for new years and would love to see you play again.  PS the CD is great.. and can I get an EGODOG sticker for my guitar case?

The show you put on here at Camp Bondsteel tonight (7th of Aug) was fucking great! I had only been surfing the Egodog Website for three weeks and other related sites. After visiting Amazon.com, I know own all three of the bands albums.  DOD is lucky to have a great band such as yourselves and we are honored that you perform for us. Again it was great to have some real entertainment here for a change and to hear a real hard-rock band. ROCK ON!!!
Chester A. Honn Jr SPC - Kosovo

Tony,
I caught your concert at Eagle Base in Bosnia.... you & the band were absolutely fantastic! I gotta admit that I hadn't heard of Egodog before, but your music is awesome. Take Care/God Bless
Lee Ransdell LTC, U.S. Army - Tuzla, Bosnia

Hey guys, Thanks for coming to ROCK Kosovo. I enjoyed your show, bought your CD (I've been listening to it every day), and am looking forward to the other albums you have put out.  If you could put me on the mailing list, I would appreciate it.  I will definitely see you in concert again.  Thanks,
J.J. - US Army, Kosovo

Tony -
It was an honor meeting you and your band in Kosovo. My heart was filled with the patriotism you all have - and we can't thank you enough for making these tours to give our service members a touch of home when they are doing the Nation's business. I visited your web page as soon as I returned to Germany - enjoyed the pictures of you and the band on tour. God Bless all of you for the work you do; and the joy you are bringing to our soldiers. I feel blessed to have had the time we shared on the C-130 and in Kosovo. My best wishes always - and please stay in touch. When you get to Germany, please stop by and see us in Heidelberg. VR, Kevin.

Hi Tony! I've just gotta thank you all for the great gig you guys did for us at the Camp Able Sentry on the 9th of August. Keep on rockin' guys! And please tell Damien that his bass is in great hands.. Lots of headbangs from Morten from NORWAY! (one of the headbanging freaks in front of your stage! Hehe!)
Morten - Norway

Hello Gentlemen
How are you? I hope all is well and that things are going well for you gigs and all, and as always I know that your shows will be outstanding. I just wanted to take some time to thank you again for coming to Sasebo and playing the shows. The small touch of home that you provided really lifted the spirits of many sailors and i have had to medevac less people the last month the I ever have before due to mental health issues and I am thinking it is because your shows allowed them to expel some energy and also enjoy themselves in an environment that would normaly cause stress and home sickness. Is there any plan to come back to Sasebo? I am sure that i would not be the only one that would enjoy seeing you again. Well I will keep this short for now when i get back to LA I hope to take in one of your shows. Thanks Again

Tony & Egodog:
For a while now, I've had the opportunity to correspond with you a few times. Through the e-mail list, the CCornell Forum, and even my short-lived stint on the air (WONC baby!). I've also heard and read a few interviews you've given as of late. And one thing that always strikes me is what a positive force you are. I've seen you use the word 'Courage' often at the end of your letters. But it wasn't until I read an e-mail from you on a more difficult day that I really absorbed the meaning. It reminded me that courage is something we all hold within us...sometimes you just have to go a little deeper to find it. Thank you, for that. Keep on sharing your amazing music and your positive force with those eager to absorb it. In my case, it fuels my own energy, which I strive to pass along as well. Peace,
~April - Portland, OR

Why the hell haven't I heard of your band before???  You rock!  Just listened to one of the MP3s on your website, and promptly ordered the CD. I'm curious - any plans to add an MP3 of your string arrangements to the website?
- Matt B.

Intersant und Intellegant!!!  Auch Spaß, es gefehlt mir.  Und Danke...xox

Hey Tony,
How is the rest of your DOD tour going? I hope you are having a good time. I wasn't sure how I would like Egodog. What I experienced last night was, for lack of a better word, awesome!! You do sound a bit older but with a harder flavor that kind of mixes old school with the new. I like it. I am officially (drum role please) A FAN!! I have gained a lot of respect for your vocal ability... you had amazing versatility. I have a lot more to say but I need to get it all sorted out first. I hope you don't mind me rambling about it. Good luck on the rest of the tour!
Daniel J. Thompson - Camp McGovern, Bosnia

Hey all,
Yea, I need to get on the mailing list. Yes we were the crazy fuckers up front who seemed to know all the songs. Actually.....we do. We had been playing a few of them for fun from memory for a while. My sis worked at record swap in Naper, and knew I'd dig it. Weird seeing air guitar and drums be dead on, huh. Y'know the cops said we had to leave. OK, fine, we were carrying a stack of about 20 beer cups a piece (threw away some), but we hadn't gotten violent yet. Anyway, good to see yer still doing it, and hope y'all come to visit A-town soon. And hey, a gig at Riley's(Malo's) wouldn't be the end of the world. And Tony would get to see all his old friends fron East High. OK, I don't know if thats good....
George Katter - IL

I know you don't remember me, but i saw you guys play at Elburn Days a couple of years ago. You all gave me autographs and a gutair pic. I just wanted to see how you guys have been doing. It looks good from this point of view. I plan on getting your other CD soon. Stay cool and rock hard.
Brandie Willis - Elburn, IL

Thanks for squeezing in an email for me. I'm always too starstruck to hear from ya! Which makes it even more awesome when I DO! Thank you thank you :) Well, I'll check in again on the Ego site for appearance dates...gotta bombard them DJs :) You guys are too fab and totally worth the grassroots effort. Thank you guys for being much more than music idols and voices and instruments through the waves :) *You guys rock*
Maifiny

I got your CD. The last tune, I think it's BackOut, is my favorite, but at first listen, I like all of them. I wish there were more than five, but I guess beggars can't be choosers. Iwill tell you this.............. I first listened to it driving down I93, probably doing like 60-65 mph. When I got to the harmony part, "and when the dogs attack....... I was in full rockin' mode behind the wheel thinkin' all right, nice friggin' bridge (if, in fact it was the bridge). I played it over and over until I knew enough of the words to sing along. It was about that time that I looked down to find myself going about 90. Now I know what must have been going through Jan Berry's head. Luckily there's no dead man's curve in Boston. Anyway, I'm trying to let you know that Egodog has the "Spike MaGoo" seal of approval. Can't wait to hear it live, and hook up with some of your groupies. You do have some hot groupies, right? Hope to see you soon!
Van Dyke Parks - MA

Subject: question
I hate to sound pissed, but WHEN ARE YOU COMING BACK TO JAPAN? I gave your CD to one of the high up MWR guys in Yokosuka. C'mon guys we've gotta show him who Egodog is. And believe me the last band I saw at the A-club sucked ass, they maybe did 1 or 2 songs of their own and the whole time I was thinkin' "Where's Egodog to show these people what a good show is." Again I'm not pissed, just wondering when you're gonna give Yokosuka a GOOD show.
Wes Heiser - Yokosuka, Japan
